What pouch sizes do you offer?

We offer most teas in the following weights: 50g, 100g, 250g, 500g & 1000g (1kg). There are some non-standard volume variations (e.g. 25g, 40g, 200g) due to the nature of loose tea and its varied leaf sizes. We also offer tea samples.

Where are you based?

We are based in South East of England in Kent, UK.

Which markets do you trade from?

Please check our Market Calendar for the latest info before you come along.

Why are you called Bergamia Tea?

The name comes from Citrus Bergamia (the latin for Bergamot Orange). Bergamot oil from this Mediterranean fruit is used for scenting our best-selling Earl Grey tea.

Can I recycle your packaging?

We are not able to recycle the pouches at the moment, but if you bring them back to farmers markets, you can re-use them when you buy tea from us, and save the cost of the pouch. You can also bring your own tea caddy (or any container) to avoid packaging altogether! Alternatively if you send the pouches back to us with details of your order, your name, address, and your contact details, we will re-use/ refill your pouches at your request and process your payment over the telephone.

What is your favourite tea?

We couldn’t say that we have only one favourite tea, because it depends on so many things, like the time of day and on our mood. In the morning we enjoy English Breakfast tea as a fabulous pick-me-up. Before lunch we often have a cup of Darjeeling to refresh our minds. We love drinking Real Earl Grey tea with our friends and family with a delicious homemade piece of cake.
